Surfshark ends its +4 free months promotion on 24-month plans: 28 months become 24 and first-term totals rise 7%, 2% and 7%
What happened
Between the Jan 5, 2024 and Apr 1, 2024 captures of Surfshark's pricing page, Pulse recorded 7 changes: The January 2024 capture advertised 24-month plans with 4 free months (28 months for one first-term price: Starter $55.72, One $75.32, One+ $111.72); the April capture shows 24 months for $59.76, $76.56 and $119.28. The per-month figures on the page rise because the total is spread over fewer months, so this is the end of a free-months promotion, not a 19-25% price increase. In detail: Promotional offer removed: '+4 FREE months' promotion discontinued, contract length reduced from 28 months to 24 months; Surfshark One+ plan increased from $3.99/mo to $4.97/mo (25% increase); Surfshark One plan increased from $2.69/mo to $3.19/mo (19% increase); Surfshark Starter plan increased from $1.99/mo to $2.49/mo (25% increase); Surfshark One discount reduced from 82% to 80% (2 percentage point decrease); Surfshark Starter discount improved from 82% to 84% savings (2 percentage point increase); Surfshark One+ discount reduced from 82% to 72% (10 percentage point decrease). Pulse files it as a pricing change (trial change, price increase, discount change) with an upward direction. Pulse's latest capture (Oct 19, 2026) lists Surfshark Starter at $2.49, Surfshark One at $2.49 and Surfshark One+ at $3.99.
