Wispr Flow drops numeric Free plan limits, makes Pro meetings unlimited

Wispr Flow's Free plan no longer states exact limits: the word cap "2,000/week on desktop; limited weekly use on mobile" is now just "Limited words per week," and the Meetings "Weekly limit" line now reads "Limited Notetaker." On paid tiers, Pro Meetings moved from "Higher limits" to "Unlimited*," with Pro, Growth and Enterprise's unlimited meetings now carrying a new "*Subject to abuse limits" footnote.

WHY IT MATTERS

Free users can no longer see how many words or meetings they get each week, so comparing Wispr Flow's free tier with rivals now takes a trial rather than a read of the pricing page. For paying users, Pro meetings are now listed as unlimited, but the abuse-limits footnote means there is still a ceiling Wispr Flow hasn't published. Watch whether that footnote turns into a stated cap.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • 6 Wispr Flow pricing changes in the last 90 days
  • 4 changes to Wispr Flow's Free plan limits since tracking began
  • 12 days since its last Free-plan wording change, on Oct 20, 2026
  • Free plans were 6.4% of the 2,359 pricing changes tracked in the last 180 days

THEIR RATIONALE

Wispr Flow doesn't explain the change. It is the fourth change to its Free plan limits since tracking began: 12 days earlier it replaced the numeric mobile dictation cap with vague wording, and in September it cut the Android free word limit to 1,000/week. On paid plans, the new abuse-limits footnote on Pro's "Unlimited*" meetings leaves Wispr Flow room to throttle heavy users while the plan card shows no cap.

THE SIGNAL

Wispr Flow has made 6 pricing changes in the last 90 days, about one every 17 days. Removing free-tier numbers isn't unique to Wispr Flow: Canva recently replaced a 20-use AI quota with vague "limited access" wording. Free-plan changes were 6.4% of the 2,359 pricing changes tracked across the index in the last 180 days, and 4 of them were on Wispr Flow.

IN CONTEXT

Wispr Flow's Free plan limits have now changed 4 times since tracking began. On Oct 20, 2026, it switched the mobile dictation cap from a numeric 1,000/week to vague wording, after a Sep 21, 2026 cut of the Android word limit to 1,000/week. This change removes the remaining numbers from Free and adds a footnote on paid plans: Pro Meetings' move from "Higher limits" to "Unlimited*" now carries a "Subject to abuse limits" note. Removing specific numbers from a pricing page isn't unique to Wispr Flow: Canva recently swapped a 20-use AI quota for vague "limited access" wording. Free-plan changes were 6.4% of the changes tracked across the index in the last 180 days, and 4 of them were on Wispr Flow.
