Slack's $45 Enterprise+ price is one arm of a live A/B test
Slack's Enterprise+ pricing page shows a $45 per-user/month price, billed annually, in place of "Contact sales for pricing" in this capture.

WHY IT MATTERS
For buyers evaluating Enterprise+, the $45 figure isn't yet reliable: it may not show to every visitor, and a quoted sales price could land above or below whatever the test settles on. For the category, a company that has long kept its top tier behind "Contact sales" testing a public number at all suggests even high-touch enterprise pricing is being pulled toward posted prices. Watch whether $45 holds across the next several fetches without reverting to "Contact sales" — that would show the test has concluded, not just that Slack flipped again.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Live probe on the public page: price variance $45(5/8) — other fetches showed "Contact sales"
- Fourth flip on this price line since Oct 4, 2026: revealed, hidden Oct 13, 2026, revealed Oct 14, 2026, now again
- Slack has made 6 pricing changes in the last 90 days, averaging one every 67 days
THEIR RATIONALE
Slack hasn't announced a price for Enterprise+; the back-and-forth between $45 and "Contact sales for pricing," plus an A/B-testing script detected on the page, points to a live test rather than a stated decision. The company appears to be measuring reaction to a public $45 anchor before committing to it — this capture is the fourth change to the same line within a month, well above Slack's own cadence of a change roughly every 67 days, consistent with active testing rather than routine repricing.
THE SIGNAL
The sharper read isn't that Slack revealed or hid a price — it's that the company is testing public pricing on its top tier before settling on it, something enterprise vendors with "Contact sales" pages rarely do in the open. Seat pricing is a common pattern across the index (146 of 2,685 tracked changes in the last 180 days, 5.4%, across 107 companies), but most of those moves raise or lower a price outright; few flicker between a dollar figure and a sales contact with a third-party experiment script visibly loaded on the page. Slack's own history with this exact line — reveal, hide, reveal, and now this — reads less like a decision and more like Slack hasn't picked a number yet.
IN CONTEXT
This is the fourth time the $45 Enterprise+ figure has flipped since Slack first showed it on Oct 4, 2026, followed by hiding it again on Oct 13, 2026 and showing it once more on Oct 14, 2026. A probe of the live page found an A/B-testing script running, with different fetches returning different results — the signature of a test assigning visitors to different arms, not a settled price. Slack has kept iterating on Enterprise+ meanwhile, with a swap of 24/7 support for paid Success Plans on Oct 28, 2026 and a Frontline teams add-on on Oct 20, 2026 — active work on the tier even as its headline price stays unresolved.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
OK, finally figured out what you have to do in order to have complete API access to your data on SLACK... I think! My goal: CREATE AN ALL-KNOWING CO-CEO/ORACLE WITH 100% ACCESS TO ALL MESSAGES ACROSS AN INSTANCE FOR ALL TIME (i.e. all 10+ years of our SLACK). You have to upgrade from Business+ to Enterprise+, which is 3x: you jump from $15 per person to $45 per person per month. Not the end of the world, but feels a bit unfair to have to pay 3x to get access to my own data! Has anyone else used all SLACK data to make THE CEO ORACLE?!?!!
